Rachael Wilshaw

A wife and mother of two children I opened my home interior account hoping to inspire fellow renovators.

I studied photography and Interior design but decided to go down the photography route which took me around the world before settling back in the Uk and starting a family.

Over the years I’ve renovated three period properties and started to document them as Covid hit and was out of work. as I decided to combine my photography skills alongside my passion for interiors to create Beetrootandblack.

I would describe my style is very much traditional, I love preserving period features but adding a little edge.
